GP50 3111 leads TOFC train #4. Steward is the beginning of two-main tracks through Rochelle to Flag Center. In 1929, this 9 mile stretch was one of the first in the country to receive CTC. This consist includes a fuel tender. This program began in 1982 as a way to decrease the number of fuel stops for long distance trains. The program was discontinued in 1990. |
