RSD5 1689 was owned by a C&NW employee and leased to the CM&N. The story goes that this employee was working at Green Bay and saw the 1689 come in the yard on fire. It was rebuilt at Green Bay in the 1970s and was the in the best shape of all the Alcos. Here, it is spotting a cars at Newman Seed & Feed in Brodhead. |
